The lines that head coach Dan Bylsma and his staff will at least start with when they start the preliminary round against Slovenia on Thursday, thanks to Chris Peters, who provides great insight on the original post.
Parise-Backes-Callahan
Brown-Kesler-Kane
van Riemsdyk-Pavelski-Kessel
Pacioretty-Stastny-Oshie
Wheeler
Fowler-Carlson
Suter-Martin
McDonagh-Shattenkirk
Orpik
The U.S. contingent is changing things up again, with the lone consistencies being Wheeler as an extra forward and the van Riemsdyk-Pavelski-Kessel line (Stepan and Faulk don’t dress).
As mentioned in an earlier post, that line has combined for 84 goals, more than any line in the tournament. That’s an impressive feat given the Canadian lines and the top six of both the Swedes and Russians.
These lines will change, maybe even in-game. For now, this is what the U.S. will roll with.
